Etch Studio price. What you pay. What it costs to run.

What all of Studio's servers cost each month
Every customer shares the same servers. Three ways to run them, from cheapest to safest:
- Bare minimum≈ $63/monthTwo rented servers: one runs the editor, one runs the database. Plus nightly backups.Handles the load. But if the database server fails, every project is offline until it's restored. The first 2 customers at $49 cover the whole bill
- Safer≈ $273/monthThe database is hosted by SurrealDB on its own cloud. Two servers run the editor.Nobody on the team has to run the database server. One editor server can fail and the other keeps working. The first 7 customers at $49 cover the whole bill
- Built to stay up≈ $620/monthThree copies of the database and three editor servers, plus monitoring.Any one server can fail and nobody notices. The first 14 customers at $49 cover the whole bill
What 500 customers add up to

Who pays for what
Everything that serves your visitors already runs on your account.
The vendor runs
- The editor app (Svelte)
- Your project database (SurrealDB)
- Image storage (counted here to be generous)
You run
- The published site, on your own Cloudflare
- AI, with your own model and key
- Your domain
How the offer is built
Five parts of the existing-customer offer, in the founder's own words in the vendor's community.
A deadline
“Existing Etch users have to add it by the end of Nov and THEN you're grandfathered in.”
You decide by a date, whether or not you're ready to build in it.
A rate you lose if you leave
“You're grandfathered in as long as it stays active.”
Pause once, even for a quiet month, and you pay $59 from then on.
One offer
“Simple offer ... take it or leave it.”
No smaller plan for a few sites yet. Those come "later".
A bigger price to compare with
“It's a $50/mo discount that you're grandfathered into.”
The $50 is measured against a $99 plan nobody can buy. Against today's $59, you save $10.
Payback math
“If you use Etch Studio beyond 18 months, we're literally giving you free money beyond what you purchased EtchWP for.”
The "savings" only exist if you keep paying for 18 months or more.

Questions
How much does Etch Studio cost?
$59 a month for the public since October 14, 2026, billed monthly, unlimited sites. It was $49 when checkout opened on September 22, 2026. Existing EtchWP customers can pay $49 through a separate link if they subscribe by the end of November 2026.
Is there an Etch Studio discount for EtchWP customers?
Yes: $10 off, so $49 a month instead of $59. The founder said on October 15, 2026 that existing users must add Studio by the end of November, and that the rate holds "as long as it stays active". Cancel and you pay $59 from then on.
Does the Etch lifetime deal include Etch Studio?
No. On the August 25, 2026 stream, the founder said the lifetime deal is for the WordPress plugin, not Studio. Studio is a separate monthly subscription, with no separate price for lifetime-deal holders.
Will Etch Studio cost $99?
The founder called $99 a month, including EtchWP, "the eventual plan" on October 23, 2026. As of November 1, 2026, no $99 plan is on the pricing page or at checkout, and no date has been given.
What does it cost to host one Etch Studio account?
On public price lists checked November 1, 2026: about 10 cents a month of storage for a busy 12-site account, plus a share of the shared servers: 13 cents to $1.24 a month if 500 accounts share them, up to $6.19 in the safest setup if only 100 do. These are our estimates, not the vendor's books.
What do I keep if I stop paying?
A ZIP of compiled files. The project, its database and the editor stay with the vendor, and there is no re-import path. Editing in Studio ends.
